Senior Accountant

Remote / DC Metro Area / NJ

Description / Responsibilities / Skills / Experience

PCI offers a wide range of services from DCAA audit support to full Deltek Costpoint implementations. Our consulting practice helps projects-based businesses gain better visibility and control into their everyday processes, and we assist in running backend accounting departments. PCI is a Deltek Premier Partner and we specialize in consulting, implementation, and training for Deltek Costpoint, Costpoint Foundations, Cognos, Time & Expense, Capture Management, and CP add-on products. PCI is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our team of accounting and consulting professionals to assist in the implementation, training and operation of Accounting ERP systems. Operations will be conducted in the Deltek Costpoint ERP family of systems. PCI offers competitive salaries and benefits and the ability to work in a remote environment.

Responsibilities & Desired Skills

  • Core understanding of accounting principles, and project cost accounting to include: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Statement Reconciliations, Payroll, and Expense and Time Collection Tracking
  • Periodic travel is expected
  • Provide training (via phone, web, or in-person) to clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services, while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented, self-starter that has the ability to work in both a collaborative and independent environment
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and client management skills, and ability to interface with business owners and C-Level Executives
  • Ability to work in a remote environment with flexible hours to support east and west coast based customers
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related field
  • Up to seven (7) years of experience in financial consulting or accounting
  • Experience with Deltek/Costpoint is required
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% for client engagements
  • CPA certification is desired, or candidates working towards their CPA

Costpoint Consultant

Description / Education / Competencies

The Senior Costpoint Consultant is responsible for the implementation and general consulting for Deltek’s Costpoint accounting software to support a variety of GovCon consulting engagements. The consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, documenting, and implementing the software. The consultant serves as the subject matter expert to internal and external customers. The right person will have a strong Deltek Costpoint consulting background, a solid understand of GovCon accounting, and the ability to work individually and as a member of the PCI implementation team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Costpoint consulting experience to include GL, Billings, AP, Projects & Customers.

Additional experience with a public accounting or consulting firm desirable.

Solid understanding of government contract accounting

Highly proficient with Deltek’s Costpoint’s Core Modules. Additional modules a plus.

Experience with Deltek GCS Premier® a plus

Experience with CER (Cognos 10) a plus

Experience in training end users and running daily operations.

The right person will have a strong Deltek Costpoint consulting background, a solid understanding of GovCon accounting, and the ability to work individually and as a member of the PCI implementation team.
