PCI Employee Work from Home Recommendations

May 5, 2020

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The coronavirus pandemic has thrown a ton of change at people across the globe. PCI employees are dealing with this the shift of lockdown in their personal and professional lives as well.

The PCI team has been interviewed and we have consolidated 30+ PCI employee recommendations on how to stay sane while working from home during lockdown. This week we have outlined our team’s ideas, activities and games that have kept both the kids and adults entertained during quarantine. We hope you can use some of these suggestions as well![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Family Time

Our Senior Consultant, Jamie Rosenkranz, kicks our family time category off by saying, the best way to keep yourself busy during quarantine is by having a baby! While we know that is not realistically possible for all people to do – we are very excited for Jamie as he welcomed his youngest daughter into the world on March 6th! Congrats Rosenkranz family!

Other members on our team have a few other suggestions on keeping the family busy and sane. Adriana Cisneros, Account Executive, has found family walks with the dog have been helping to provide fresh air and exercise.

Speaking of pups and adding family members during this time, Rebekah Weiner and Shannon Bevan have both added puppies to their families! Welcome Goose, Annie & Oakley to the PCI furry family![/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner content_placement=”bottom”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”5380″ alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”5360″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]Senior Consultant, Heather Fulginiti has been reminiscing on old memories and putting together family photo albums!

Christine Grumbach, Senior Accountant, has been spending family time outside by the fire pit making S’mores! YUM!

Many of our team members had to celebrate holidays such as Easter and Passover virtually with family. Lee Rosenthal participated in two virtual Passover Seders.

And last but definitely not least in the family category, our very own Shawn Crockett and family has created their own Quarantined Instagram account. If you have Instagram, you won’t regret following the Crockett family and his personal account.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]

Helping Others

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Many of our team members are donating time to helping others during this unprecedent time. A few employees like Heather Fulginiti, have been donating to local charities while Laura Sproat have been volunteering at their church food pantry. Kelly Odunlami has been shopping and delivering groceries to seniors. These are just a few employees that strive to make a difference in others lives. #PCIProud.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5361″ alignment=”right” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Self-Care

Our team has been active in numerous self-care activities including yoga, virtual gym classes, peloton workouts. Our very own Elaine Davis has even been hosting her own fitness happy hours on Zoom and posting exercise challenges on Facebook & Instagram!

Employees have also been virtually connecting with friends, family and church throughout the time at home. Lee Rosenthal has even recorded “living room” theater performances. Laura Sproat has even signed up for virtual ballroom dance class![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Brain Games

As you can imagine in our line of work, our employees enjoy problem solving and building things! Many of our employees including Cassandra Silva have been challenging themselves with 3,000-piece puzzles! When Cassie’s not building puzzles, you can find her Canvas painting!

We also have numerous Lego lovers on the PCI team, including our owner, Marty McGann. Our team has been working diligently building new Lego structures! See below:[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5362″ alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5363″ alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5364″ alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5365″ alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Continuing Education

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5366″ onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Reading and writing letters to family and friends has been a big activity in many PCI households. With the kids home from school, Tiffany McGarry has been balancing work, life and teaching all in one. She like many others have found this task challenging, especially with second grade common core math! Art class has proven to be fun though![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Home Improvement

Home improvement is another theme that we have seen throughout quarantine. Our Director of Operations, Christine Marks, and her husband reconstructed their patio, while others have been participating in other activities such as:

  • Cleaning
  • Organizing
  • Decluttering
  • Painting
  • Building Pantries
  • Backyard work: Building / planting home gardens – veggies and herbs and painting porches

In the Kitchen

There is a good chance we come out quarantine with some new at home chefs.

Our team has been experimenting with baking desserts, making homemade pizzas and a ton of BREAD. Senior Consultant, Steve Franzoni, has perfected his white break making and now moved on to sourdough.

Tiffany McGarry has been baking for her husband and crew at the firehouse whenever there is a shift. They need some goodies while working 24-hour shifts!

Wine is also a complimentary part of cooking, baking and paired with dinner.

Overall, our team is focusing on the positives during this time, keeping the pace a little slower and quieter allows us to spend time with family and reprioritizing. From the PCI family to yours, we hope you are staying safe and healthy. Hopefully, we have inspired you to try a few new things during your quarantine time at home![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
